About Matt

I am a native English speaker from the US with a long-standing love of speaking and writing. After years of passionate study of the French language, I am proud to be able to help those who find themselves in the unfortunate position of having little or no understanding of English while needing medical care.

While working as a translator, I was able to achieve accurate translations that went beyond the literal―faithfully reproducing the intentions of the source material. Now, as an interpreter, I am again tasked with faithfully rendering what is being said completely and accurately into the other language, protecting the autonomy of the patient. From my years working with the public, I am keenly aware how to handle difficult complex situations that require a human touch.

I have served as a tutor for American students learning French and for French adults learning English. Additionally, I have worked with Translators without Borders and UN Volunteers to provide translation and interpreting services to people in precarious situations.
